What a good quote includes
A clear quote wins more jobs and avoids arguments later. Make sure yours covers:
- Your business details. Business name, ABN and contact details.
- The customer and job address. Who the quote is for and where the work is.
- Exactly what’s included. Each part of the job, with quantities and prices, so there are no surprises.
- GST, clearly shown. If you’re registered for GST, show it so the customer knows the full price.
- A valid-until date. So prices don’t hang around forever while material costs change.
- Payment terms. Deposit, progress payments and when the balance is due.
- A way to accept. A signature line, or a link to accept online.
